The Home and Rental Maintenance Association
"A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in."
– An old proverb
WHO WE ARE
The Home and Rental Maintenance Association (HRMA) is the only organization dedicated to setting and enforcing the ethics and standards of the general trades industry. Nobody else is doing it and with the industry expected to double by 2030 there has to be some oversight. There has to be a standard. There has to be an injection of responsibility in the general trades community.
We are the only general trades service organization who has partnered with the American Job Centers as part of their Workforce Innovation and Opportunity program and the only one who is willing to stand for what is right and do the hard work of building a real framework around a preexisting community with no rules, no regulation, no governing body, no standards, and no ethics.
The founder has spent several years and tens of thousands of dollars of his own funds to build this Association's foundation and framework. He is now sacrificing his only business and more of his time and effort for the greater good of the community to bring back the respect duly deserved for the labor industry.
What Mike Rowe is doing for the trades, we are doing for handymen, maintenance techs, and general tradesmen who serve between the professional licensed tradesman's minimum and the homeowner's limitation. The field is growing, not disappearing. Demand more. Demand better. Support the HRMA today by contributing to our cause in any way you can.
WHAT WE DO
Our organization will be working with local government and other community organizations to support the education of our youth, help bring shop class back to high schools, train and develop individuals and companies in the general trades industry to have higher quality, standards, and ethics as any other professional field.
The industry has quadrupled since 2020, and by 2030 the industry is set to double once again. This issue will not go away on its own, and sitting and waiting for the industry to self-correct is nevere going to happen, its letting the fox watch the hen house and they have a good deal: no oversight, free reign, no rules, no ramifications.
WHAT THIS MEANS
Look, we all know the general trades community (i.e. handyman, maintenance, etc.) is fast and loose because there is no oversight, no regulations, no ethical requirements, no training, no governance, nothing. For $15 and a dream you too can be a handyman right now, today. The barber who cuts your hair for $20 has to pass classes, get licensed, pay fees, and renew. A handyman can get their license today and go into your six-figure+ home and cut holes in your floor and disappear with your money. We are putting an end to this. By supporting the HRMA you are contributing to the future we deserve. Be the change you want to see, contribute to the Association today. Together we can make it happen.
Unfortunately, There is currently no regulation nor governance by a body of professionals nor officials and few, if any, laws to enforce best practices in this industry and we are set on changing that now. With your support this will be possible. Read further to learn more about us and how you can do your part to help.
